TATOO STUDIES

During my artist residency at the Ruang Arta Derau Institute in Ubud, Bali, in early 2026, I found myself surrounded by a vibrant community of local tattoo artists. Watching them work, I became captivated by how they permanently etch stories, identity, and energy directly onto human skin. This encounter sparked a deep fascination and shifted my creative path, inspiring me to explore tattoo design as a raw form of artistic experimentation. For me, adapting my work to the contours of the body became a way to merge illustration with human connection, turning a fleeting inspiration in Bali into a permanent new direction for my art.
