I dreamt of this image and felt I had to get it out. To me, a hug is the only moment where two people actually share the same space and energy, it’s the ultimate way to show love. I chose linocut because the physical effort of carving into the block matches the intensity of the embrace. It’s about taking a fleeting feeling from my subconscious and giving it a permanent, heavy weight.
